MAYBE IT’S JUST ME… (VOL. I)

Maybe it’s just me, but… (Vol. I)

  ·       Do all aggressive drivers drive cars with tinted windows?

 ·       May I never live in a neighborhood governed by a homeowner’s association

 ·       When did the word “career” become a verb? (Just asking)

 ·       It’s very difficult to find coffee cream anywhere but in the U.S.

 ·       All Christians (I say this as one) are hypocrites—it’s a matter only of degree

 ·       The level of violence in American culture, including kids programming, is fairly intense, if you step back and look at it

 ·       Almost all red cars are driven too fast

 ·       The “I’m doing it because I can” mantra contains its own junior high-level of cruelty and insecurity

 ·       People are always quick to want to spend other people’s money

 ·       If you can walk somewhere instead of driving, shouldn’t you?

 ·       I’m much better at exercising than I am adjusting my diet

 ·       “Light cream” at a U.S. coffee shop still elicits a milkshake-like consistency

 ·       Moles in the yard are a first world suburban problem. Do I (i) send them to the neighbors? (ii) poison them but also (inadvertently) the neighborhood’s pets? (iii) happily let them run rampant?

 ·       One of the things learned with age is that “powering through” when something hurts is not necessarily a wise idea

 ·       Will the success of weight-loss GLP-1 meds carry further into our politics and culture?

 ·       Wind is a fascinating thing
